Why Do the Pictures Look Blurry on My Screen?

Your image compression is probably "on." This is a feature AOL uses to help pages load more quickly, but since we've already thought of that, our images are already compressed so they look "blurry" or "smeared" by the time they reach your browser. To disable this feature, click on My AOL, then choose Preferences. Click on WWW and then choose the Web Graphics tab. Remove the check mark from the Use Compressed Graphics box by clicking on it. Click on OK and then try reloading or refreshing the page.

How Do I Turn My Cookies On?

For AOL users on Windows '95, '98 and NT, click on the "Start" menu, choose "Settings" and then "Control Panel". When "Control Panel" opens, click on the "Internet Options" icon, which will open the "Internet Properties" menu. Cookie options will be under either the "Advanced" tab or the "Security" tab. If you cannot find the cookie settings in any of these places, please contact AOL technical support for instructions.
